Longarm Machine Orientation

Before using our rental machines, all first-time renters must complete a Machine Orientation Session.

This quick hands-on session is designed to help you feel confident and comfortable using our machines while also ensuring safe and proper use.

Orientation Fee

One-Time Orientation Session — $25

Approximately 30 to 45 minutes

Required before first rental

What You Will Learn

During your orientation, we will walk you through:

• Basic machine setup
• How to thread the machine
• How to wind and insert a bobbin
• Needle placement and replacement
• Stitch selection and stitch length adjustment
• Reverse stitching and securing seams
• Tension basics
• Safe machine operation
• Proper cleaning and care between uses
• Troubleshooting common issues such as thread nesting or skipped stitches

Included Practice Time

Each orientation includes guided practice stitching on scrap fabric so you can get comfortable before your first rental session.

Certification for Rentals

Once completed, you will be approved for future longarm machine rentals without needing to repeat the orientation.
